INSPECT YOUR PURCHASE

Any item purchased from Lens & Shutter should be checked upon receipt. Any shortage, defect and/or damage must be reported immediately. To help validate your claim of damaged goods, you need to retain and then submit to Lens & Shutter the original shipping and product packaging. Defective merchandise will be replaced with a like item, upon return of the defective merchandise.

14-DAY EXCHANGE

Lens & Shutter offers a 14-day exchange opportunity for most merchandise purchased. The original receipt must accompany all merchandise.

Exchanged merchandise cannot be returned for a second exchange unless defective.

Exchangeable items can be brought in at any one of our stores or shipped back at the owner’s expense. Please telephone before shipping an item.

All items considered for exchange must be returned in NEW condition. After 14 days all merchandise is considered used and will not be accepted as an exchange.

Lens & Shutter does not accept exchanges of the following products: batteries, film, paper, chemicals and special order items.

In addition, all digital products will require the original software to be “factory fresh and unopened” or restocking and handling fees will apply.

All exchanges are subject to inspection and LENS & SHUTTER reserves the right to refuse any merchandise.

10-DAY REFUND

Lens & Shutter offers a 10-day refund for most merchandise purchased. The original receipt must accompany all merchandise.

Lens & Shutter does not accept refunds of the following products: open software, batteries, film, paper, chemicals and special order items.

All items considered for refund must be returned in NEW condition as shipped from the manufacturer. ANY damage or marks to boxes, packaging materials, wrappers, cartons, instruction manuals, warranty cards, etc. will not be accepted as NEW condition.

Any products returned in other than NEW condition will have restocking and handling fees subtracted from the refund value.

Refundable items can be brought in at any one of our stores or shipped back at the owner’s expense. Please telephone before shipping an item.

Refunds will only be issued in form of original payment.

Please note that shipping and handling fees are not refundable.

All refunds are subject to a complete and thorough inspection, LENS & SHUTTER reserves the right to refuse any merchandise.

10-DAY PRICE PROTECTION

Lens & Shutter will refund the difference if you produce a competitor’s advertisement within 10 days of your purchase. A ‘competitor’ is deemed to operate a retail store within Vancouver’s Lower Mainland, the Okanagan and/or Vancouver Island.

WARRANTIES AND REPAIRS

All new products sold through Lens & Shutter come with manufacturers’ warranties.

Please note: The original sales receipt is required for warranty service, not the warranty card.

An estimate fee must be paid when submitting ALL repairs.

This procedure has become necessary because many items are damaged by causes NOT covered by warranty; such as abuse, impact, being sat upon, foreign substances... i.e. liquids-water/alcohol/sun tan lotion and particles-sand/dirt/smoke, etc. The cause is often not apparent from visual inspection, so the estimate fees are only refunded after the manufacturer confirms that the warranty is valid.

Exceptions: large items such as printers, computers and tripods may be subject to additional shipping/handling fees, even if the repair is covered by warranty.

Warranty is limited to repair or replacement of equipment only and does not include cost of rentals, lost fees or other expenditures.

The service time of repairs varies with the nature of the repairs, the availability of parts and the workload of the service center. Therefore, service times cannot be guaranteed. Customers requiring the fastest service should communicate directly with the service depot and arrange their own transportation to the service facility.
